Sicily, with its captivating blend of history, landscapes, and romantic allure, has long been the dream destination for countless couples.
But when posed with the question, "Is Sicily a good place to get married?", the tales of love and commitment that unfold amidst its ancient ruins provide a resounding affirmation.
The story below of a wedding in Selinunte's Greek Temple is one such tale.

In the heart of Sicily, amidst the ancient ruins of Selinunte's Greek Temple, Chris & Viky celebrated their destination wedding.
As guests began to arrive, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation and wonder, heightened by the presence of three actors draped in traditional Greek robes.
Their chants of age-old poems and tales echoed through the temple, creating an ambiance reminiscent of ancient Greece.

The highlight, however, was the Viky's (the bride) grand entrance. Pulled by two white horses, she arrived in a cart, with the soft melodies of a string quartet playing in the background.
The sun, casting its golden rays through the temple's columns, illuminated the aisle adorned with white and burgundy flowers. It was a sight to behold.

At the altar Chris, her soon-to-be husband, awaited with 2 chalices filled with sand. A larger chalice, filled by the guests with their own sand, stood as a testament to the love and support they had poured into the couple's relationship.
As the ceremony unfolded, the sands mingled, symbolising not just the union of two souls, but the collective effort of all who had nurtured their love.
Their commitment, now sealed, promised a lifetime of intertwined destinies.
